Welcome to Bicester Body Balance

Hi, I’m Sharon Betterton and welcome to Bicester Body Balance.

I’m a fully qualified VTCT level 4 sports massage therapist.

My background is in secretarial, so I know how hard it is to keep a good posture at the desk and how good it feels to have a massage to help those aches and pains across the shoulders and neck.

I also used to be very involved in sports and was in training for half marathons and cycled to work, so I have a good understanding of how it feels after a long run or cycle ride.

However, I also know the flipside of being strong and fit as I have also been involved in a road traffic accident when, unfortunately, I was knocked off my bike and suffered life-changing injuries to my left leg.

Having that experience has meant that I know what it’s like to have to see consultants and physios and how hard it can be to motivate yourself to keep going.

Why Sports Massage?

  • Sports Massage or Remedial Massage. What is the difference?

In one word – nothing. It is a myth that you must do sports to have a sports massage.

  • Do you find that your shoulders and back ache from sitting at a computer desk all day?

    Then sports massage can help.

  • For example, do you spend most of your time standing up working in retail or hospitals and find that your feet and legs ache?

Sports massage can help with this too.

Of course, sports massage will significantly benefit you if you play a sport or go to the gym, and you don’t need an injury to reap the benefits. Sports massage can substantially improve your technique by allowing your muscles to activate quicker and are less prone to injury.

  • So, what are you aching for?

Contact me today for a friendly chat about your aches and pains.
